What is the Integral Economy for Us at Gaia Union Spirall?
It is the Natural Economy, the efficient administration of all the resources that the human community possesses within its planetary home. This ensures that all beings, including those within the biosphere, receive what they need to develop their maximum potential.
To achieve this, we propose a gradual process of balanced resource distribution. No one should accumulate more than they need to live in healthy prosperity and shared abundance.
One of our priorities is to provide a territory for all network members. This land should minimally provide shelter and food, followed by opportunities for growth, maintenance, and expansion in the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual realms. This process encompasses the seven main areas of life: health, art, economics, relationships, education, ecology, and the necessary tools and technologies for sustainable development. Of course, ethical and spiritual development is also essential.
The solidarity economy encompasses strategies for the “humanization of nature” within today’s global economy. It addresses inherent problems such as environmental pollution, soil degradation, corruption, inequality, poverty, and smuggling.
A Solidarity Economy Network complements economic globalization by developing community-based cooperation. Additionally, the solidarity economy has a multidimensional orientation, integrating social, ecological, pedagogical, and cultural dimensions into economic activity.
